Vinnie Butler is a licensed clinical social worker who has been doing great things at Generations since October, 2021.
Vinnie was born in Columbus, Ohio, Lockbourne Air Force Base. She traveled all over the world with her parents and siblings. One of Vinnie’s favorite places that she lived was London, England; Vinnie was excited to have the privilege to go back for a visit a few years ago.
She graduated from The Ohio State University with a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work and is now a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Vinnie has been in the mental health field for over eighteen years. Vinnie loves working with people and is experienced working with clients who have been diagnosed with Depression, Anxiety, Borderline Personality Disorder, Dissociative Disorders and other mood disorders. Vinnie also works with clients who suffer from trauma-related issues, family issues, marital/couples issues as well as veterans who have suffered with Post-traumatic Stress Disorder.
Vinnie is motivated to work hard because she enjoys working with people and assisting them with getting their needs and wants met. To put it simply, Vinnie enjoys watching people succeed in life.
The Bible is Vinnie’s favorite book to read in addition to books from her favorite authors: Nora Roberts and James Patterson.
Vinnie has five adult children who are all married and have given her seven grandchildren. Vinnie’s family is very close; they always make her smile, and laugh.
Vinnie often says to my clients that they have to put themself first in order to know what it really means to love and care for someone. If they know how to love and care for themself first, then they prepare themselves to love and care for others.
Vinnie is currently available for teletherapy sessions throughout the week and eventually in our Indianapolis location. Give Vinnie a call at 317-886-8181 to schedule an appointment today.
