Deia is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Indiana. She works primarily with older teens and adults who have a history of anxiety, depression, or trauma. She is trained in trauma-focused cognitive behavior therapy and uses it along with a guiding approach to help clients connect thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Her clients have said that she is personable and approachable. Deia is attentive to client perspectives and offers gentle challenges to unhelpful thinking patterns when needed.

She considers therapy a success whenever a client is actively participating in therapy. She believes that often symptoms may get worse before they get better when working through issues, and by actively participating together and working towards their treatment goals clients can see lasting change.
