Molly Nugent, Student Intern

Molly Nugent is a pre-licensed student intern who is currently working towards her master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling at the University of Indianapolis. She is under the supervision of Nicole Holland, LCSW. She meets primarily with children and adolescent clients who are experiencing symptoms related to PTSD, adjustment disorders, or stressful life changes. She approaches therapy through a person-centered lens while incorporating tools from ACT and CBT, and she is working on completing training in TF-CBT. She values taking time to meet clients where they are at and gently guiding them towards meeting their goals.

She considers therapy a success when clients experience positive change and have a deeper understanding of self. She believes a big part of finding this success means trust between client and therapist relationship has been built, assessment scores have shown growth, and client feels better about where they stand now rather how they began therapy.
